High Grade French Hemp Bedding, 44Lb Jumbo Bulk Bag of Extremely Low Dust Shavings for Horses, Chickens, Small Animals, Rats, Guinea Pigs, Bunny Rabbits, Reptiles, Good Chicken Coop Bedding
- KNOWING YOUR BEDDING IS THE CLEANEST, HIGHEST QUALITY YOU CAN BUY: Our hemp is expertly grown in France with sustainable, pesticide-free agriculture methods. Hemp has always been grown in France and the producers of Aubiose have been processing hemp for more than 50 years! This is why their product quality is unbelievably good. It is grown & processed to exacting standards based on a long experience. Now they are working on producing the same products and same guaranteed quality on American soil.
- BREATHING BETTER: Aubiose has surprisingly low dust levels that are almost unbelievable for a shavings material. Shavings are usually quite dusty and acidic but our hemp has been shown to have much lower dust levels than pine, aspen, and even other hemp.
- MAKING LIFE EASIER AND HEALTHIER FOR YOU AND YOUR ANIMALS: Say goodbye to breathing nauseating fumes when caring for your animals. No, this is not the price you have to pay to own animals! The absorption powers of hemp are astounding, and our hemp is specifically processed to maximize absorbency. What this does is manage moisture in a way where it cannot become a problem for you and your animals. Unmanaged moisture is what can cause that terrible smell in barns, coops, and pet cages. Aubiose is the natural solution!
- SAVING MONEY WHILE STILL INDULGING IN THE BEST: Our 44 lb jumbo bag is the biggest option on the market. Just 1 or 2 bags should last close to a year in an average-sized coop. We recommend the deep litter method, which allows for less frequent thorough coop cleanouts
- SUPPORTING THE RIGHT CAUSE: Many of our customers are motivated by sustainability, however, hemp has even more to offer, and can even improve American life on strictly economic grounds and also the general well-being of the people. Hemp is a win for both the economy and the environment. Ever since we began importing and selling this product in 2017, we knew it coud be a game changer for America. That's why we are diligently working to transition our production to US grown. By working with us, you are voting for your dollar for this initiative!
Product Description
Choosing Aubiose bedding is an impactful yet simple way to benefit your animals' quality of life, while making things easier on yourself! This ultra-absorbent bedding is designed to work for you by managing moisture in a healthy way. By keeping the surface dry, these shavings create a happy, pleasant-smelling habitat that is easy to manage. There are thrifty ways- like the deep litter method- to manage this bedding where it is very economical due to its absorbency, whether for horses or other animals.
There is a great story behind Aubiose. They are probably the oldest living hemp farming and processing group in the world; they have an official history of 50+ years, but hemp farming in France goes back much further; their ancestors never stopped growing hemp (for paper), unlike most of the rest of the world! That's part of why Aubiose is known for producing such a consistent & high-quality product! The hemp is grown with a strict no-chemical regiment and high quality requirements.
Managing an Aubiose bed is a unique experience; to get the best out of it, we recommend some kind of deep litter approach. This is a low-maintenance method that utilizes the absorbency of hemp bedding and creates a deep base for it to pull moisture. The method depends on the animal and application. In any case, try to put down a deep base of bedding, at least 1" but as deep as 6", for horses 4-6" is essential. The more bedding you put down in the beginning, the less you have to add later, and the more economical and the less you have to use overall.
Slowly add more hemp bedding as the first layer of bedding becomes soiled. You are allowing microbial decomposition by doing this, and your coop or barn should maintain a clean, pleasant atmosphere with minimal cleanouts; for chickens you can clean out the coop 1-2 times per year. For horses we recommend to weekly rake the bedding to the side and scoop out any red bedding on the bottom, but ideally never strip the stalls entirely.
